Davison runs the Crimson show and is highly regarded in all phases of the game. He averages 21.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 7.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Directed the Crimson to a school record 25 victories this season. “Clutch player who carries his team,” Armstrong coach Greg Miller said.
Even with a section title all but secure, Maple Grove junior Brad Davison charged to the net as determined as ever. The guard hit the floor hard after scoring the last basket of his 30-point night on Thursday at St. Michael-Albertville, but he popped right back up to ask his coach a simple question: “Did I make it?”
Three weeks ago, Northwest Suburban Conference rivals Maple Grove and Champlin Park participated in the Midwest Players Classic in Lacrosse, WI. Both teams got a glimpse of their league opponent that weekend and have anticipated the matchup at Champlin Park High School ever since.

MAPLE GROVE 75, MILWAUKEE RIVERSIDE (Wis.) 61: Junior Brad Davison scored 39 points to lead the Crimson past Milwaukee Riverside in the Midwest Players Challenge in La Crosse. The scoring total was an event record. Davison also had seven rebounds and six assists. Center Reed Nikko had 17 points and seven rebounds.
MAPLE GROVE 55, ARMSTONG 53: Point guard Brad Davison went off for 33 points to power the Crimson, ranked No. 3 in Class 4A, to the comeback victory over No. 8 Armstrong. The Falcons were led by 22 points from Jubie Alade.
Tywhon Pickford scored a game-high 25 points and recorded 13 rebounds to lead Maple Grove over Iowa City West (IA) 70-57 at the Timberwolves Shootout on Saturday at Target Center.

There will be a plethora of talented basketball squads taking the court at Minnetonka High School on Saturday for the annual Breakdown Sports USA Tip Off Classic. One of the docket's 15 games is a matchup of budding Class 4A teams: Wayzata and Maple Grove.
2. SHIFTING SECTIONS HELPS MAPLE GROVE The biggest benefactor from the newly formed section assignments is Maple Grove in Class 4A. The No. 3-ranked Crimson, previously in Section 5, have been moved to Section 8.
